Principal's Message

24 June 2010

Dear Parents,

As I write my last Principal’s message of this academic year I am amazed at how fast the time has gone since my arrival in Hong Kong last August. A tremendous amount seems to have happened at Sha Tin College during the year and I am particularly proud of the fantastic variety of achievements by our students – ranging from academic and sporting success, cultural endeavours and wide scale involvement in charity events and fund raising. Our final newsletter is again a bumper edition celebrating the various activities at our school over the past few weeks.

You may remember a few months ago, parents, staff and students were invited to participate in an ESF Stakeholder Survey regarding all aspects of the school. The results for Sha Tin College, and indeed for ESF as a whole, were mostly very positive. The results of the survey have provided the leadership of our school with some valuable data which has been used to assess the priorities for Sha Tin College for the coming year. The survey results have, in fact, supplemented other information, for example from the CISWASC, IB 5-year and ESF reviews. A summary of the ESF Stakeholder survey for Sha Tin College can be found on our website – www.shatincollege.edu.hk

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all families and staff a restful summer break and look forward to seeing you in August.

Best wishes,

John Nixon

Principal
