Counselling Support
The College employs the services of a qualified, experienced and professional registered counsellor
who meets students by appointment once a week in school. The Counsellor’s areas of specialization
includes depression, anxiety, addiction, relationships, eating disorders, self-harm, anger management,
effective communication, self-image, cultural and relocation adjustments and goal planning. She
is also experienced in a number of techniques which include: solution focused counselling, crisis
counselling, addiction counselling, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioural therapy, cognitive
reframing and psycho-educational techniques.
The Counsellor can also provide individual, group, family and couples therapy.
