Co-Curricular Activities

Sha Tin College offers a rich and diverse programme of cocurricular activities and all students are encouraged to participate either during the lunch break or after school. We aim to extend our students’ growth to include all aspects of personal development and we therefore encourage students to be involved in each of the three areas of: Creativity, Action and Service. Under the category of  Creativity, we aim to challenge students to express themselves through the Arts and other creative activities. Under Action, we aim to challenge students to be physically involved through sports (both competitive and non-competitive), expeditions and other activities which require physical exertion. Under Service, we aim to challenge students to be involved in service to others, including those less fortunate in the local and international communities, as well as their peers in our own school community.

At the start of each Term, students use the College’s online system to sign up for their chosen activities. Expectations for activities are printed in the front of the school diary. School drama and music productions, sporting events and competitions, outside visits and residential experiences all contribute to the programme. These include concert and theatre trips, fieldwork, school camps and overseas trips. All these activities are reflected in the College Yearbook, ‘The Explorer’.
