CAS Week

Each year in October, lessons are suspended for five days and our students have the opportunity to take part in a
broad range of activities, camps and expeditions which are not available through the normal curriculum. These
are also offered under the CAS umbrella and over time, students are expected to try a variety of experiences in
each of the three areas of Creativity, Action and Service.

The options available vary from year to year. Recently in a typical year, the following activities are
made available.

Year 7 students : A variety of physical challenges at Pak Lap, Tap Mun, Kadoorie Farm and Lantau.
The week is organised jointly with Treasure Island and all students participate in an overnight camping
expedition.

Year 8 students : Water sports, writing, a visit to Crossroads Charity and a service day at a local
school.

Year 9 students : A trip to Guilin or Yanshuo with a myriad of challenging CAS activities for them to
participate in.

Students from Year 10 – 12 : selected options for the week depending on their individual
preferences.

Locally, students can opt for either the Amazing Race, Art Mural productions, CAS Week in the Wild,
Charity Work, Dinghy Sailing, Global Feast, Photography, Rock School and volunteer work at Hebe
Heaven. Overseas trips include trips to Japan, China, Laos, Morocco, Nepal, Thailand and Borneo.
